Hi, I’m Angela Sanville (she/her), Associate Marriage & Family Therapist. Starting therapy can feel like a big leap, especially when life already feels overwhelming or uncertain. If you’re carrying a lot - emotions you haven’t had space to process, relationships that feel off, or just a sense that something needs to shift - you’re not alone. Therapy can offer a space to pause, reflect, and feel supported as you make sense of what’s going on.

I work with teens, adults, couples, and families, with a special focus on neurodivergent and neurodivergent-adjacent individuals. My approach is collaborative and responsive - rooted in curiosity, respect, and a belief that therapy should meet you where you are. Together, we can explore what’s working, what’s not, and how you want to move forward in your life or relationships.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 15 years in the nonprofit world supporting teens and people with intellectual and developmental differences. That work taught me to honor each person’s way of experiencing the world and helped shape the relational, grounded style I bring to therapy today.  I draw from approaches such as Internal Family Systems, Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, somatic and nervous system attunement, and mindfulness practices.

I also bring lived experience to this work. I’m a parent, a partner, and a neurodivergent person myself - I live with dyslexia and I am a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). I understand how complex it can feel to move through a world that often misses or misunderstands difference. These parts of my identity help me connect with people who feel out of step with the dominant culture, who may be overwhelmed by expectations that don’t fit, or who are just beginning to explore what it means to live in alignment with how their mind and body actually work.

I hold a BA in Human Development from Sonoma State University and an MA in Counseling from the University of San Francisco. I offer therapy in-person in Sonoma County and virtually across California. If you’re looking for a therapist who brings clinical training, lived experience, and a deep respect for who you are - I’d love to connect!
